Sara Allen Named Most Outstanding Senior Female Student Athlete

2015 May 11

Culver-Stockton College held its annual All-Sports Award Banquet Wednesday night as over 400 student-athletes, administrators, coaches and friends filled the C-SC dining hall inside the Crown Center to celebrate the academic and athletic achievements of the Wildcat Athletic Department during the 2014-15 school year.

Nick Hill of the football team and Sara Allen of the women's soccer team were awarded the Male and Female Most Outstanding Senior Student-Athlete Award. The awards were based on their accomplishments in the classroom and on the field of play over a four-year career at Culver-Stockton.

Allen, a native of Kailua, Hawaii 96734 (Rock Island HS), was a four-year letterwinner who played in 74 career matches for the Wildcats, making 72 starts as a fullback. She amassed one goal and one assist during her career but made her mark on defending the opponent's best player throughout her career.

Allen is pursuing a degree in elementary education with plans on becoming a school teacher. Her activities include being involved with the Culver-Stockton Teacher's Organization, the Education Newsletter and the American Red Cross. Allen is a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Honor Society and President of the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. She has made the President's List, the Dean's List or the Honor Roll every semester she has attended at Culver-Stockton.
