Logan Holmer Earns Heart Weekly Honor

Culver-Stockton College high jumper Logan Holmer has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week for his performance during the University of Central Missouri Classic last Saturday in Warrensburg, Mo.

Holmer, a senior from Chillicothe, MO 64601 (Tiny-Avalon HS), jumped 2.04 meters or 6 feet, 8 inches to finish second at the meet. It is the third-best mark in school history and a personal best for Holmer, who had previously reached 2.02 meters (6 feet, 7 inches) on two different occasions.

The 2.04 meters is also the automatic qualifying height for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Holmer will compete in the indoor championships March 3-5 in Johnson City, Tenn.
