Kimberly Clark Participates in Leadership Retreat at Culver-Stockton College

C-SC Teaching Assistants and Wildcat Welcome leaders recently participated in a training retreat to prepare for their duties in the coming school year. Located at Lake Williamson in in Carlinville, Ill., the retreat featured a low-ropes course, a high-ropes course, and many other leadership training and teambuilding exercises. Student left for the retreat Monday, Aug. 17 and returned to campus for further training Tuesday, Aug. 18.

Kimberly Clark, sophomore business administration major from Canton, Mo., participated in the retreat as a Wildcat Welcome Leader.

The director of intramurals and student activities selects Wildcat Welcome Leaders. Their role is to help the incoming class assimilate to campus and adjust to college life.

Teaching Assistants work with the Freshman Year Experience courses and are selected by the FYE instructors. During this role they lead discussions on different subjects pertaining to college life and the specific focus of the FYE section.
