Kayla Marie MaGraw performs in C-SC's theatre production, "The Busy Body"

2014 Nov 12

Bold action has better consequences in Sussana Centlivre's 1709 farce "The Busy Body," directed by Dr. Ron Zank, professor of theatre. Women keep the upper hand as couples attempt to woo and wed, despite interfering guardians, controlling parents and the bumbling but well-intending busybody himself, Mr. Marplot. Culver-Stockton's production is set in London's swinging 1960s, with rocking beat and madcap chases.

Kayla MaGraw, sophomore arts management major from Union, Mo., was cast as Isabinda.

Performances were held Nov. 6-9 in the Mabee Black Box Theatre.
