Josh Bender selected to perform in All-Collegiate Choir at state conference
2015 Feb 3
Josh Bender, junior music education major from Clarence, Mo., was among eight Culver-Stockton College students selected to perform with the 2015 All-Collegiate Choir at the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference (MMEA), held in Osage Beach, Mo., Jan. 28-31. This choir was comprised of more than 200 students from all of Missouri's colleges and universities. The All-Collegiate Choir performed music by Verdi, Poulenc, von Weber and Argento, in addition to "Pilgrim's Hymn" by Stephen Paulus, which the Concert Choir will sing at C-SC in a concert Feb. 21.
The student performers were selected by Dr. Elliot Jones, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at C-SC.
The MMEA brings together music educators from across the state for workshops, performances and other events. Culver-Stockton College regularly attends the Missouri Music Educators Convention, and is frequently represented by student and faculty performers. A banquet for C-SC alumni was also held at the conference.
