James Heisse Named Heart Setter of the Week for Second Time

Culver-Stockton College senior James Heisse has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week for the week ending March 11.

Heisse, a setter from Florissant, MO (DeSmet HS), registered 43 assists in a five set loss to Graceland last Saturday, an average of 8.60 assists per set. In addition, Heisse recorded seven block assists and a team-leading 12 digs. It is the second time Heisse has been honored as setter of the week by the conference.

For the season, Heisse has recorded 638 assists this season, which is good for ninth in the NAIA. He is averaging 9.38 set assists per set, which is also ninth in the NAIA. Heisse leads the Wildcats with 104 digs and is second with 12 service aces.

The Wildcats (5-13) are slated to host Clarke University (Iowa) Tuesday night, March 13. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. at Charles Field House.
