Jacklyn Strouse Named NAIA Scholar-Athlete

The Culver-Stockton College women's volleyball team had three players recognized as 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Volleyball Scholar-Athletes by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Named to the list were senior middle blockers Jacklyn Strouse and Ruthie Wheelock, and senior defensive specialist Lori Privratsky. Strouse and Privratsky were named to the list for the second straight year.

Strouse, a business administration major and marketing minor from Braidwood, Ill. (Reed-Custer HS), appeared in all 119 sets (33 matches). She recorded 248 kills (2.08/set) and a team-high 94 blocks during the season. Strouse was successful 25.5 percent of the time on her kill attempts, which was second on the team. Strouse was named to the All-Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) second team for her play this season.

Three hundred ninety-one women's volleyball players were recipients of the NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athlete honor. Student-athletes must have a junior or senior academic standing and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50. Student-athletes who transferred must have been in attendance at an institution for one full year to be eligible.
