Jacklyn Strouse Named All-Conference in Volleyball

2013 Nov 22

The Culver-Stockton College women's volleyball team placed four players on the 2013 Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) All-Conference team, the league announced Tuesday morning.

Sophomore Kamrin Gold earned Attacker of the Year accolades as well as first team honors in her first season as a Wildcat. Senior Jacklyn Strouse was named to the second team, while senior Ruthie Wheelock and sophomore Abbie Foster were honorable mention selections.

Strouse, a 5-foot-10 middle hitter from Braidwood, Ill. (Reed-Custer HS), was fifth in the HAAC in blocks with 94, including 18 solo blocks. She finished second on her team and 17th in the HAAC with 248 kills, garnering a hitting percentage of 25.5, which was good for fifth in the HAAC. Strouse was an honorable mention selection in 2012.

The Wildcats finished the 2013 season with a 22-11 overall record, the most victories in a season since earning 26 wins during the 2004 campaign.
