Ian Hoffman attends international mediation conference

As a member of the Culver-Stockton Mediation Team, Ian Hoffman, freshman political science from Mundelein, Ill., attended the International Academy of Dispute Resolution Society's Fifth Annual Mediation World Congress at the Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa, Oct. 18-19, 2013. The conference focused on several academic issues concerning the field of mediation, and hosted several discussions, including "Learning the Psychology of Effective Mediation" and "The Future of Arbitration." The team's advisor, Judy Abbott, accompanied the students to the conference.
