Dominic Caruso Named Most Outstanding Male Senior Student-Athlete

Culver-Stockton College held its annual All-Sports Award Banquet April 25 as nearly 500 student-athletes, administrators, coaches and friends filled the C-SC dining hall inside the Crown Center to celebrate the academic and athletic achievements of the Wildcat Athletic Department during the 2015-16 school year.

Dominic Caruso of the men's soccer team was awarded the Male Most Outstanding Senior Student-Athlete Award. The award is based on his accomplishments in the classroom and on the field of play over a four-year career at Culver-Stockton.

Caruso, a senior from St. Louis, Mo. 63123 (Affton HS) led the Wildcats with 12 goals during the regular season. He added two assists for a team-leading 26 points this season. Four of Caruso's goals were game-winners.

Caruso's 12 goals were tied for second in the Heart behind Missouri Valley's Raul Beneit, who tallied 13 goals. His 26 total points were tied for third in the Heart during the regular season, and his four game-winning goals were tied for second in the Heart.

Off the field, Caruso was the 11th player in school history to be named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team and the first since 1996 to be named to the first team. In addition, Caruso has twice been named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, earning the honor in 2014 and 2015.
