Dominic Caruso Earns CoSIDA Academic All-America Soccer Honor

Culver-Stockton College senior forward Dominic Caruso St. Louis Mo. 63123 was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division Men's Soccer First Team, recognizing the top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

The Academic All-America College Division soccer teams are comprised of student-athletes from NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions. Caruso is the 11th student-athlete overall at C-SC to receive Academic All-America honors and the second to receive first team honors, joining Jason Kaiser (football) who was named in 1995.

Named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference all-conference second team this season, Caruso boasts a 3.55 G.P.A. and is majoring in athletic training. Caruso led Culver-Stockton with 12 goals this season, including four game-winning goals. He added two assists for a team-best 26 points. Caruso started 16 of the 19 matches for the Wildcats, who finished 8-10-1 overall. He was named to the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete team in 2014 and is nominated again this season.

The 11-member CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division Men's Soccer first team has an average grade point average of 3.87, which includes four student-athletes with a 4.0 G.P.A. The team is represented by six seniors, four juniors and one sophomore.
