2016 Sep 29

Dakota Hagar, senior musical education vocal major from Edina, MO, was cast in Culver-Stockton's theatrical production of "Little Shop of Horrors." Designed as a spoof of low-budget science fiction films and B-movies, this rock and roll meets Motown satire reminds everyone that a pact with the Devil to improve anyone's fortunes never works out-especially when that Devil is a blood sucking plant.

Hagar, has the role of Seymour. Dr. Haidee Heaton directs the C-SC production with musical direction by Prof. Scotty Allison and Dr. Elizabeth Thompson. The set design by Professor Kent Miller, features a completely re-imagined puppetry for the iconic alien plant, Audrey II.

The show runs Friday, September 30, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in Alexander Campbell Auditorium, in the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center. Additional performances will be on Saturday, October 1, at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee on Sunday, October 2, at 3 p.m.
