Culver-Stockton's Ryan DeGraw presents at national Delta Upsilon conference

Culver-Stockton student Ryan DeGraw, a senior speech and education major, was invited to speak at Delta Upsilon's Leadership Institute in Phoenix, Ariz., Aug. 1-4. An invitation is required to attend this national conference and only eight speakers were chosen from all undergraduates and alumni who applied. DeGraw's speech, entitled "Redefining Manhood," was focused on society's expectations and perception of gender. His topic was inspired from a Delta Upsilon event held at Culver-Stockton in the spring of 2013. DeGraw spoke of the conclusions he drew from the event, as well as from research he had conducted individually.
