C-SC student Tyler Frump completes professional internship

Tyler Frump, freshman business major from Taylorville, Ill., recently completed an internship with Trans Coastal Supply Company, Inc. in Brea, Calif. During the internship, Frump spent her time exploring sales and marketing in Asia, learning about logistics and shipping requirements and exploring letters of credit, wire transfers and cash advances.

Culver-Stockton College offers two types of internships to students: professional and exploratory. Professional internships focus on students gaining skills in a field of study they have already chosen, while exploratory internships focus on students learning more about an industry to be better able to choose their area of study. Frump's internship was Exploratory.
