Breanne Begeman Named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today that 141 Division I women's basketball student-athletes have been named 2016-17 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Montana State-Northern led all institutions with eight individuals on the list.
Culver-Stockton placed two players on the list this season.
Named from the Wildcats were senior Breanne Begeman, a psychology major with an emphasis on occupational therapy, from Mendon, Ill. 62351 (Unity HS); and senior Terra Helm, a physical education and health major from Fredericktown, Mo. (Fredericktown HS / Mineral Area CC). Both players were named scholar-athletes for the second straight year.
In order to be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor. Transfer students must complete one full year at the nominating institution to be eligible.
