David Lee, sophomore English and political science major from South Korea, is attending the 2015 International Association for Media and Communication Research Conference. He plans on going to this conference to help envigorate campus newspaper, the Megaphone. He also sees the conference as a way for him to become a leader to help organizations on campus become better communicators with administration and with each other.

Ashlyn May, junior athletic training and psychology major from Camp Point, Ill., is attending the Meetings of the Minds. At this conference she will gain leadership skills in a variety of wellness fields (alcohol, anxiety reduction, peer mentoring, etc.). It will also help her as the president of HOPE grow and have a greater impact on campus.

Kimberly Clark, freshman business major from Canton, Mo., will be attending the Enactus United States National Exposition. She hopes to gain more confidence and experience in running this national organization (Enactus).

Spencer Waters, senior business major from Liberty, Ill., is attending a Leadership Institute in Atlanta for his fraternity Delta Upsilon. He wants to gain some leadership experience on how to make C-SC's entire Greek community a more cohesive unit.

Andrew Daehnke, freshman arts management major from Union, Mo., will be attending Tau Kappa Epsilon's 2015 National Conclave. He is an emerging leader in the fraternity and hopes this experience will help him serve his fraternity and the entire community.

The Wilfred and Ann Lee Konneker Endowment for Leadership was established at Culver-Stockton College in 2013 to support the immersion of leadership development and teachings into the College's distinctive and innovative approach to student learning. The outcome of the resources gifted to the College by the Konneker's is to provide a supportive and value based learning environment where students are able to acquire attitudes, knowledge and skills to successfully work with others to accomplish mutual goals. Building one's self-awareness as a leader through offerings of personal development initiatives and the promotion and understanding of various leadership styles helps students at the College create their own preference on approaches to leading in a vastly changing world.
