Anna Stock Named Student Athlete of the Month

Culver-Stockton College defensive specialist Anna Stock has been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student Athlete of the Month for September.

Stock, a junior from Quincy, IL 62305 (Quincy HS) is a three-year member of the women's volleyball team. She has recorded 811 digs in 255 career sets covering 73 career matches. Stock also has registered 51 career service aces and has a service reception percentage of .926.

This season, Stock has garnered a team-high 365 total digs, which ranks 11th in the Heart of America Athletic Conference, and has recorded 3.58 digs per set, which ranks 14th in the league. Stock has a .926 serve reception percentage and recorded 23 service aces in 27 matches this season.

Off the court, Stock is pursuing a degree in biological chemistry on a pre-medicine route. In four completed semesters, Stock has been named to the President's List three times and the Dean's List once time. Among her activities, Stock is vice-president of the Alpha Pi Science Club, secretary of the executive board for Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, leader for Chi Alpha and a chemistry department teacher's assistant.

Stock is also a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Scholastic Honor Society and the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society. Stock plans to graduate in the spring and attend Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in the fall of 2018.

Stock is the first Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month for the 2017-18 school year.
