Amber Clevenger inducted into Culver-Stockton's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta

Amber Clevenger, junior English education major from Camp Point, Ill., was among three students inducted into the Epsilon Iota chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society. Students were inducted on the campus of Culver-Stockton College, during a ceremony held Jan. 15, 2014.

During the ceremony, Dr. Ron Stormer, associate professor of English and the faculty sponsor, welcomed those in attendance. Next, Heather Keller-Giltner, C-SC's coordinator of career and intern services and a member of Sigma Tau Delta, delivered the keynote address, entitled "Why the World Needs English Majors." Finally, the current officers of Epsilon Iota officiated the new members' induction. Dr. Lee Hammer, Professor Emeritus, attended and served as the official chapter photographer.

Culver-Stockton's chapter of Sigma Tau Delta is being recognized for its 50 years of service at the organization's national convention in February 2014.
