Abri Perchetti Named Student-Athlete of the Month

Culver-Stockton College distance runner Abri Perchetti has been named the Primo's Pizza and Subs Student Athlete of the Month for April.

Perchetti, a junior from Tonopah, Nev. 89049 (Tonopah HS) has been a member of the Wildcat cross country team and the Wildcat track and field team for three years. On the track, Perchetti owns the indoor and outdoor school record in the 5,000-meter run. She set the indoor record of 16:27.67 at the Illinois College Jim Green Invitational in February, while setting the outdoor record of 19:59.76 at the Augustana Viking Olympics in April.

Perchetti has also recorded the second-highest indoor time is school history in the 3,000-meter run, hitting a mark of 12:20.63 at the Illinois Wesleyan Titan Open in January. On the cross country course, Perchetti was the top Wildcat finisher at the Kohawk Invitational at Coe College with a time of 27:32.

Off the court, Perchetti is pursuing a degree in biological chemistry. In five completed semesters, she has been named to the President's List four times and the Dean's List one time. In addition to being named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete in both cross country and track and field, Perchetti has also been awarded the General Chemistry Achievement Award and Sophomore Scholarship Award for Women from Culver-Stockton College. She is also a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Honor Society.

Perchetti is the final Primo's Student-Athlete of the Month for the 2015-16 school year, joining Dominic Caruso (men's soccer); Brittney McMahon (women's soccer); Ceara Flowers (cross country); Brianna Marzette (women's basketball); Jojuan Graham (men's basketball); John Echel (men's volleyball); and Sam Bolin (softball).
