Aaron Zalis honored during Homecoming Weekend

Dr. Aaron Zalis of Rolla, Mo., was inducted into Culver-Stockton College's Education Hall of Excellence, during Homecoming Weekend, Oct. 11-13.

Zalis graduated from C-SC in 1984 with his Bachelor of Art degree in commercial art and design. In addition to his degree from Culver-Stockton, Zalis also earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Truman State University, a Master of Arts in art education, an Education Specialist degree in superintendency from Northwest Missouri State University and a Doctor of Education degree in educational leadership and administration from Saint Louis University.

Currently, Zalis is the superintendent for Rolla Public Schools. He has been a part of the Rolla school district administration since 1994, also holding positions as the deputy superintendent for human resources and support services, director of human resources and the assistant principal of Rolla Middle School.

Zalis is the board chair of PSRS/PEERS, the public school and education employee retirement systems of Missouri. He has also held several positions at the Missouri Association of School Administrators South Central Region, including president. In addition, Zalis is also a member of the Missouri Association of School Business Administrators, the Missouri State Teachers Association and Rolla Certified Teachers Association.
